HOTEL JAGUA BY MELIA

Built in the modernist style of the 1950’s, the Hotel Jagua by Melia has recently been renovated with a more contemporary look. The lobby remains a focal point of the hotel and has a colourful and avant-garde look with stylish furniture, contemporary art on the walls and glass fronts making the lobby light and airy. The bar here is very popular.

Located in the picturesque Punta Gorda area of the city, a slim headland that reaches into Cienfuegos Bay, the hotel sits right next to the Caribbean waters. The sunsets here are beautiful and can be seen from many rooms and the hotel gardens.

Next door to the Hotel Jagua can be found the unique and famous Moorish style palace called Palacio del Valle where you can enjoy a drink on the rooftop or gourmet dining in the ornate restaurant. There are also a number of excellent private restaurants nearby and the centre of Cienfuegos is a 30-minute walk from the hotel along the Malecon promenade that runs along the length of the bay.
